United states postal service. My lawyer sent it on june 29 and to this day it's a mestry to me how it was delivered at 10:10 pm at night. I did not think anybody would accept it. BUt if they were working on 25000 in 48 hours. The only reason i think they took it is to finish the number of visa available.

I had taken an infopass appointment after filing an SR. All the IO said was I should call NSC. I don't think the IO's at the local USCIS office can issue FP notices.
Shall try again sometime this week or next and update the same here. I am a NSC->CSC->NSC transferee.

You can not really change point based system and u can not ask for that..they are the policy makers..they are responsible for there own country.
We should only ask
- Clear the backlog for EB people as FB without country quota
- Allow all backlogged people to continue on old system (h1b renewal/3 year extension until date of enactment.
If all backlogged is cleared then for merit based people..
- There is no LC or PERM..u can file adjsutment of status just as canada or Australia. ur PD will be current as backlogged is being cleared.You can continue to enjoy AC-21 after I-485.
- You don't need H1b renewal 1 year or 3 year..

Ans: Problem is these 200k are form India and China only.:) So this 200k workload will be adjusted against 22000 total (EB2/3- China, India) per year and that is how 10 years.I think you guys are in good shape. I dont know why it will take 10 years.

I think one need to create database based on who came in what year and what is the priority data's . True there are people like me came in 2000 and still has priority date as Dec 2004, this is not my fault, this is forced by GC process tied with employer.
The landing or start date of H1b/L1B + old priority date should be the real beneficiary of spillover in respective of EB.

I totally miss your point: why is ending retrogression bad? Because all 800K people might get the GC within 6 months? Whats wrong with that? Its not fair to those who have waited longer than others? Dont be a member of the "just because I suffered I want everyone else to suffer" That makes you no different from that talkshow host (who is now a citizen) on the radio channel recently who said he waited 10 years to get his GC, so everyone else also should, otherwise its not "fair"

Just making all VBs like the July VB is pointless, and does lead to lots of uncertainties. - recapturing wasted visa numbers.

All who are still waiting for FP, a suggestion based on my personal experience. If you are calling TSC, then it will not make any difference as you will not receive FP notice even after calling and waiting for months. I would suggest take Infopass and get the FP scheduled. For NSC, sometimes if you get nice IO they may schedule you right away and tell you the date of FP on the phone itself. This info is all based on my past experiences of reading various threads and calling TSC. So I am not sure what the trend is right now.

This may sound optimistic and promising, but in essence sending random rhetoric using off message statements like "Erase Backlog Now" conflicts with our targeted messaging. To the observer on the Hill (i.e. in Congress) it all sounds more like a noise without a coherent message.
I'm sure you would agree that "no harm in trying" and "Leave no stone unturned" doesn't mean diluting our effort or sending incoherent message. That is why we need to have a single voice sending the same targeted message each time, otherwise we will just sound like awkward noise.
